A previously released WWE star has now confirmed that they have re-signed with the company following a recent surprise return.
On Friday, January 17 Lince Dorado made a surprise return to WWE in-ring action at an NXT live event in Citrus Springs, FL, defeating Josh Black.
While he would suggest that he had rejoined the company afterwards – saying in a follow up tweet yesterday (January 18) that he was excited to “teach” – it was not yet known if he was back in WWE in an official capacity.
Well now we have confirmation via Dorado’s Twitter, where he now has “Professional Luchador/Coach @WWE @NXT” listed in his bio (see below).
It’s not known if Dorado will also make in-ring appearances on NXT or elsewhere whilst under contract with the company, having been active in the ring since being released by WWE in November 2021 – competing for the likes of AEW, CMLL, NJPW, MLW among others.
Dorado previously competed for five years in WWE between 2016 and 2021, becoming a regular of the rebooted cruiserweight division in the mid to late 2010s.
