Former WWE star Corey Graves was forced to retire from the ring in 2014. His numerous concussions medically disqualified him from continuing his WWE career and he quickly became a commentator in NXT.
Now, it seems Graves had gotten the itch to get back in the ring. He recently had Edge on his After The Bell podcast where he talked about trying to get cleared. Here is the full quote:
“You and I have gotten along well for quite some time. Watching it, honestly man, it was inspiring and I would say at two or three different points I went, ‘I live in Pittsburgh now. I should go find Dr. Maroon.’ It just gave me that urge to do all this all over again and I don’t know if that’s a possibility, but the thought was planted in my brain for quite some time.”
Edge recently returned after having been retired for nine years. The medical field has come a long way in the last decade, resulting in the returns of stars like Edge and Daniel Bryan. It does not seem out of the realm of possibility that Graves could have a chance to get cleared if he pursued it.
