Former WWE Star Teases Setting ‘Record’ With Surprise Royal Rumble Appearance WWE

A former WWE star has teased setting a ‘cool record’ with a surprise Royal Rumble appearance next weekend.

The 2025 Royal Rumble is set to take place next weekend, and there has been a lot of speculation heading into the show in Indianapolis.

On top of the top WWE stars set for the match, fans often speculate about which names could make a surprise appearance in the Royal Rumble matches.

One name who frequently appears in speculation is former WWE star Matt Cardona, the former Zack Ryder, who fans have long expected to return to the company over the past few years.

Cardona competed on this week’s TNA IMPACT show, where he faced off against new TNA World Champion Joe Hendry.

Cardona also recently competed for AEW, ROH and GCW in recent weeks, and when it was pointed out that Cardona would have appeared in five promotions over the past two months, Cardona responded:

That’d be a pretty cool record.

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry has also teased potentially appearing in the Royal Rumble match this year.
