A former WWE star made his return to WWE on tonight’s episode of NXT, representing TNA in the ongoing partnership between companies.

Last month, WWE officially announced a partnership between itself and TNA Wrestling after the two promotions had previously been working together last year.

The partnership will see TNA wrestlers appear on WWE NXT, as well as NXT wrestlers appear on TNA, and a former WWE star made his return through the partnership on tonight’s show.

During the show, NXT Heritage Cup Champion Lexis King came to the ring, where he cut a promo about not changing who he is, and how he was changing the rules for the NXT Heritage Cup to no longer be ’rounds’ based.

That’s when he was interrupted by former WWE star Fandango, who came to the ring with his old WWE theme music to a big pop from the crowd.

However, it wasn’t Fandango who stood across from Lexis King, but rather JDC of TNA, representing the System.

JDC said that he spoke to Ava, and that he will be facing off with King for the title next week.
