Lio Rush had a lot of ideas for his time in WWE. Now that he has been released, we are starting to hear about some of the more interesting ones. Like wanting to wear a mask for example.
Rush is currently selling some of his used ring gear, one of which is a mask he wanted to wear in WWE. He tweeted out a picture of the mask, mentioning that Triple H rejected the idea.

The mask appears to be inspired by some sort of insect as it has large mesh eyes. The rest of it is orange with short pieces of black fabric sticking out. It seems to go quite well with his current hairstyle.
It is not currently known when Rush pitched the idea to wear a mask. It may have been during Rush’s recent run in NXT when he became a babyface as there doesn’t seem to be any real time on the main roster when a mask would have fit his character.
Rush was released from WWE on Black Wednesday. He recently mentioned that he doesn’t know what he plans to do next. He also did not rule out walking away from pro wrestling entirely.
