Former WWE Star Shares Story About Making Pat Patterson Cry

The wrestling world was shocked yesterday with the tragic news that wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Pat Patterson had sadly passed away at the age of 79 in a Miami hospital following a battle with cancer.

Following news of his death emerging on social media, several current and former WWE stars took to social media to share their stories and memories of Pat, often with how he inspired and helped them in their careers.

One person to share a tribute to Pat Patterson was Vince McMahon, with the WWE Chairman posting a touching message regarding Pat, who was described by many as being his “right-hand man” on social media yesterday:

Former Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore also posted a tribute to Pat Patterson on Twitter yesterday, sharing a story about how he made the former Intercontinental Champion cry backstage at an NXT show:

1 time #PatPaterson summonsed me welling tears bsckstage, he to pointed me & called me to him. He grabbed my shoulders looked at me crying & smiled, he just said: “Thank you for that.” Prolly the most humble feeling I ever got getting out the ring in NXT. Thanks Pat

As we said yesterday, everyone here at WrestleTalk would like to send our condolences to the family, friends and fans of Pat Patterson at this incredibly tough and sad time.
