Former WWE star Fandango was released from his WWE contract back in June 2021 after spending 15 years in WWE, where he went through several gimmicks. Debuting as Johnny Curtis on the original gameshow version of NXT, he won Season 4 of the show, appearing in a few bizarre vignettes before returning to developmental.

He made his next call up back in 2013 as Fandango, where he famously won his debut match against Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 29 that year. Fandango then met up with Tyler Breeze, forming the Breezango team, in which he remained for the rest of his run in the company. Breezango found some success, winning Fandango his only championship in WWE, the NXT Tag Team Championship.

Fandango has wrestled for several independent shows since his release under the name ‘Dirty Dango’, and it seems we may be about to see him on our screens again soon.

Dango appeared on Café De René with Rene Dupree, where he discussed what he has planned for his future. Dango said that he will be starting with a company on soon ‘in the next few weeks’.

He said:

“I’m starting with a company soon, I think in the next couple weeks that I can’t really talk about, but it should be on TV. I mean it will be on TV,”

Dango is currently competing for the National Wrestling Alliance, where he is scheduled for tonight’s NWA Pretty Empowered Surge show.
