A former WWE star has teased debuting for AEW by answering Cody’s TNT Championship open challenge in the coming weeks.
Cody won the title by defeating Lance Archer at Double Or Nothing last weekend, and said he will defend the title each week in an Open Challenge.
His good friend and former WWE star Zack Ryder, now going by real name Matt Cardona, seemed to take a bit of interest in this idea, as you can see from this tweet:
Open challenge………?

Cody has previously spoken about how he doesn’t want AEW to become “All Friends Wrestling”, but some have taken that with a rather heavy pinch of salt.
His first defence of the title will come next week against Jungle Boy who won a Battle Royal last night.
