Since being released from WWE in August 2021, former Undisputed-Era member Bobby Fish has had runs in AEW alongside his former UE stablemates Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly as well as IMPACT, NJPW and MLW.
Oh and he also won his pro-boxing debut for a Global Titans event in Dubai in February.
However, while false-rumours suggested he was once angling for a WWE return along with his former Undisputed-Era cohorts Cole and O’Reilly, he has now revealed that he does in fact have one unfulfilled aspiration in WWE.
While speaking to NJPW commentator Kevin Kelly on his Undisputed Podcast, Fish would reveal that he wanted to also explore commentary during his time in WWE.
Fish even stated that plans went as far as doing reps with current NXT announcer Vic Joseph.
Fish revealed:
“I took it upon myself (to seek out commentary opportunities in WWE).
Vic Joseph and I, we would do some stuff on our own and Vic would pull me in that room a few different times to try to get some reps and we discussed — and that was a direction that I definitely wanted to explore, still want to explore it now, you know?
But things changed a bit there…”
Despite being signed on for another boxing fight with Global Titans, Fish has recently revealed his openness to a WWE return as well as a move to Tony Khan’s Ring of Honor.
