The first match since 2022 for a pair of former champions in WWE has officially been announced, and it’s coming up soon.
Following their releases in April 2021, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay of The IIconics tag team reunited under the names Cassie Lee and Jess McKay – The IInspiration.
They joined TNA Wrestling and became Knockouts Tag Team Champions, until April 2022 when they both announced they were taking time away from in-ring action.
McKay has yet to wrestle again since then, while Lee returned in October 2023 in Australia, but also hasn’t wrestled since that point.
In April 2025, the duo are returning to action and their comeback match has been made official.
At Prestige Wrestling’s Nothing To Lose event on April 17 in Las Vegas as part of WrestleMania week, The IInspiration will be back in tag team action against the team of Nicole Matthews and WWE ID prospect Kylie Rae.
Reacting to the announcement, WWE star Bayley wrote: “wtf a dream match”.
Prestige Wrestling confirmed the show will also feature Minoru Suzuki vs Adam Priest, and Michael Oku vs El Phantasmo.
