New Details On Former WWE Stars Meeting With The Company WWE

A new report has revealed new details on former multi-time WWE Tag Team Champions Matt and Jeff Hardy meeting with the company.

After leaving AEW earlier this year, Matt and Jeff Hardy recently returned to TNA Wrestling. Despite coming back to the promotion, The Hardys are reportedly working without contracts with the company.

More recently, the former multi-time tag team champions have discussed returning to WWE, even teasing a match with current NXT Tag Team Champions Axiom and Nathan Frazer.

On August 2, PWInsider reported that The Hardy Boyz met with WWE in Cleveland with content being filmed for roll out on their digital platforms.

Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update on the context behind the meeting after Matt and Jeff Hardy were spotted outside of one of the WWE talent hotels that same day.

Reaching out to The Hardys, Fightful learned the duo was invited to film interviews and content with WWE since they were already in town for WrestleCon in Cleveland, Ohio.

The report notes that some of this content is for active series, as well as potential future Hardy-specific presentations.

Matt and Jeff Hardy still have dates committed with TNA Wrestling and are said to be enjoying their time there.

Those within WWE said there wasn’t much to read into the meeting with The Hardys, while other sources outside of the company believe the legendary tag team will end up making an appearance when it’s all said and done.

The Hardys are set to appear at the TNA Wrestling tapings in Tampa, Florida this weekend, while WWE will hold this year’s SummerSlam from Cleveland, Ohio.

WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on The Hardy Boyz’s WWE status when they become available.
