Former WWE Star’s Retirement Match Canceled Update

Former WWE Star’s Retirement Match Canceled Update WWE

A new update has emerged on a former WWE star’s retirement match potentially being canceled, or at least postponed.

ECW legend and former WWE star Sabu had been set for his retirement match at GCW Spring Break 9 in Las Vegas during WrestleMania week against Joey Janela.

However, an injury to Janela had put the match in doubt, with Janela himself tweeting that he was hoping to still be the person to eventually retire Sabu, even if it couldn’t happen at that show.

However, it appears things could be proceeding as originally planned after the events of GCW The Coldest Winter 3.

Janela was advertised to be presenting Sabu with his Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame plaque at The Coldest Winter, but instead cut a promo on Sabu, which led to Sabu appearing and attacking Janela.

Afterwards, Janela said that he would see Sabu at Spring Break, seemingly confirming the match will still be going ahead.

In another note from The Coldest Winter, WWE NXT star Cora Jade was in attendance, as she posted on social media a photo of her giving the middle finger to Masha Slamovich, who she challenges for the TNA Knockouts Championship at TNA Sacrifice on March 14.
