A couple of former WWE stars have taken to Twitter to air their grievances on the idea that WWE wants to create new stars.
First to do so was Rusev, who now goes by his real name Miro (short for Miroslav), who tweeted after it was announced Shane McMahon was going to be on Raw tonight.
He wrote:
“We want to build new talent”. Shane is back! Sums it up.
Next to comment was Maria Kanellis, another one of the names released along with Rusev and others back on April 15. She wrote:
WWE doesnt want to build new stars, they want to spike the ratings for a couple weeks to keep the investors/networks happy. What WWE doesn’t seem to get, is ratings improve when people care about the story/stars. Invest in talent, spend the time building stars, stop the laziness.
