Former WWE Stars Sign With AEW WWE/AEW

A pair of former WWE and TNA Wrestling stars have officially signed with AEW, making a surprise debut for the company at today’s House Rules event in Brisbane, Australia.

After their TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship loss to The Elegance Brand at TNA Impact’s debut episode on AMC, The IInspiration were confirmed to have departed the company.

Speculation regarding their future would follow since then, but we now have a definitive answer as to which company Cassie Lee & Jessica McKay have committed too, as the pair made their AEW debuts during today’s House Rules event in their native Australia.

With the show not being televised, AEW shared footage of The IInspiration’s debut on social media (see below), posting a clip of their entrance as well as their first AEW promo in front.

It was in this promo that McKay and Lee announced that they were officially “All Elite”, before setting their sights on taking on AEW’s slate of women’s tag teams.

The IInspiration would then make their in-ring debut for AEW, defeating Frankie B and Aysha to get the ball rolling on their AEW careers.

With AEW introducing their very own Women’s Tag Team Championships in December 2025, The IInspiration have the potential to make history by becoming the first women to win tag team gold in WWE, TNA and AEW.

The IInspiration held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles for 120 days in 2019 after winning them at WrestleMania 35, they would then hold the TNA Knockout’s Tag Team Titles for 110 days between September 2025 and the January 15 episode of Impact.

The AEW Women’s Tag Team Titles are currently held by the inaugural champions the Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron), who most recently defeated Mega Bad (Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford) at Grand Slam Australia to retain their gold.
