Back in April, WWE let go of a large number of wrestlers. One of those was a former wrestler turned announcer Aiden English.
Aiden English is now going by his real name, Matt Rehwoldt and the moniker Drama King. Tonight, he took to Twitter to remind folks he’ll be making his return to the ring at Zelo Pro Wrestling’s Wrestling on Weed St. on September 17.
My in ring return is almost here 👀 https://t.co/mKclRQ1m1f

It’s apparently going to be a battle of royalty as the Drama King fights the Filth King. English is one of the few released talents who haven’t signed or appeared on another televised wrestling promotion.
Another one in this category would be the former crooner’s tag team partner, Rusev, now known by Miro. Miro says he’s done with wrestling, but only time will tell.
Rehwoldt recently made some comments about a current WWE wrestler who he thought was being wasted. He also talked about how he and Miro lobbied to not be broken up.
While everyone needs to be safe and precautions need to be in place, it’s nice to see wrestlers getting the opportunity to earn a living and make appearances.
Also advertised for Zelo’s Wrestling on Weed St. are Kylie Rae and Warhorse. Rae appears regularly for IMPACT. We recently saw Warhorse on AEW against Cody.
Good luck to The Drama King in his return to the ring.
