A former WWE talent has revealed that they wanted to keep their release private after leaving the company earlier this year.
Speaking with Fightful Select, Killer Kelly said she didn’t want to publicise her release so that it would cause interest and even confusion about how she was working shows elsewhere.
Kelly was signed to be part of the NXT UK roster, but was never really featured prominently, and she left in January 2020.
Unlike the majority of indie talents who sign with WWE, she was able to keep her name. She said she believes WWE “flat out forgot” about it, but was relieved she didn’t have to change it.
Since leaving she’s worked for wXw as well as some independent shows in the US.
