Former WWE Talents Wrestle At IMPACT Slammiversary

Two former WWE performers were revealed to be surprise opponents in separate matches at IMPACT Slammiversary.

Chelsea Green made her highly anticipated return to IMPACT during last night’s (July 17) show. Green teamed with her fiancé, Matt Cardona, to wrestle Tenille Dashwood and Brian Myers.

Green had recently appeared at ROH Best In The World, ahead of her return to the ring at Slammiversary. Green previously thanked John Laurinaitis for helping her when she requested to forgo the final week of her 90 day non-compete clause, following her WWE departure.

As per Fightful Select (subscription required), there is no full-time contract signed between Green and ROH or IMPACT. Her Slammiversary plans were worked out around the same time that her ROH appearance was scheduled.

The former No Way Jose was also in action at the pay-per-view. “No Way” was revealed to be the mystery partner for Fallah Bahh in the IMPACT Tag Team Championship four-way. Bahh was originally scheduled to team with TJP, who was “unable to participate” in the match.

No Way was released by WWE in April 2020. Deonna Purrazzo had teased No Way’s IMPACT debut on her Instagram story earlier in the week.

Following Purrazzo’s Knockouts Championship match with Thunder Rosa, Mickie James made her IMPACT return at Slammiversary.
