Former WWE Raw Tag Team Champion Matt Riddle is set to compete in a title match at the upcoming AAA TripleMania XXXII event.
Since leaving WWE in 2023, Matt Riddle has become a featured act for MLW as well as winning the NJPW World TV Championship in New Japan. He has also appeared for various independent promotions.
It seems Riddle will attempt to win yet another championship title at a major event for AAA.
At a press conference on August 7, AAA announced that former WWE United States Champion Matt Riddle will challenge Komander for the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship in a three-way bout also featuring Laredo Kid at their TripleMania 32 Mexico City event.
Riddle was previously scheduled to face Laredo Kid in a singles match on the show before the change to make it a title match with Komander.
AAA World Cruiserweight Champion Komander also wrestles for AEW and ROH, while Laredo Kid also works for TNA Wrestling.
AAA TripleMania XXXII Mexico City will take place on Saturday, August 17.
