Former WWE World Champion Returns From Injury

After a long recovery from injury, former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal has returned to the ring. His first match back came at the WWE Superstar Spectacular.

The event was made to promote the company’s new Indian brand, therefore it makes sense that Mahal was in the main event. He teamed with his former stablemates The Bollywood Boyz to take on the team of the returning Drew McIntyre and Indus Sher.

This was Mahal’s first match back after having suffered an injury last May. Mahal was originally supposed to feud with former 3MB partner Drew McIntyre last year prior to his injury. As it is so close to WrestleMania season, it appears unlikely that the feud will resume. However, that is merely speculation.

Of course, Mahal did not get the win in his return match, as McIntyre and Indus Sher picked up the victory.

This was also the first time that Jinder Mahal had teamed with the Bollywood Boyz on television since March 2019. The trio had been a featured act during Mahal’s WWE Championship reign back in 2017.
