After the 2020 ceremony was postponed, WWE is ready to produce the 2021 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. As news continues to emerge about who will be inducted this year, a major name has been added to that list.
Fightful Select (subscription required) is reporting that former WWE Champion Rob Van Dam will be part of the 2021 Hall of Fame class. He now joins Eric Bischoff and Molly Holly in the 2021 class. They will also be inducted alongside the 2020 class, featuring the likes of JBL, Jushin Thunder Liger, and Davey Boy Smith.
Rob Van Dam wrestled multiple stints for WWE. The first came in the mid-90s where he was part of an ECW invasion. Then he became part of the WWE roster in 2001 during The Invasion storyline. He brought his fan-favorite status from his run in ECW and eventually became WWE Champion in 2006.
Van Dam left the company in 2007, eventually arriving in TNA in 2010 where he became world champion. He returned to WWE in 2013 for an uneventful run ending in 2014. This would be his final WWE run to date.
Among his many accomplishments, Van Dam is also a former ECW Champion, six-time Intercontinental Champion, and a Money in the Bank winner.
