Former WWE Wrestler Posts Video Shortly After Asking For Release

Former WWE wrestler, Mike Bennett, Mike Kannelis if you’re thinking WWE, has posted a video he recorded just 2 days after he asked for his release from WWE.

Bennett posted the video in an effort to help anyone who might be going through realizing their dream wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.

Apparently, Bennett records himself whenever he goes through a major life change to document how he felt during the process. He explains this process in another tweet:

If you were familiar with Bennett’s career prior to WWE, he seemed like a can’t miss prospect. He had an extremely successful run in Ring of Honor and New Japan. His time in The Kingdom and subsequent feud with The Bullet Club/Elite was part of a golden era of ROH.

He would go on to wrestle in TNA. He would capture the X-Division Title while there.

He did not have the same level of success in WWE. He admits he did not show up in shape and began his road to recovery from addiction soon after. Bennett never really recovered from the slow start.

Ont thing is for sure, Bennett has a load of talent and the combined act with his wife Maria is not one that will go unsigned for long. Could Bennett show up in IMPACT? Based on his long-term success in ROH and friendship with Matt Taven, the smart money might be on another ROH run.
