Former WWE Writer Who Walked Out During Hall Of Fame Set For IMPACT TV Role

A former WWE writer who walked out and left the company during the 2019 Hall of Fame ceremony is set for a role on IMPACT TV.

RD Evans was a writer for WWE until last year’s Hall of Fame. The story is that he helped in writing Bret Hart’s speech, which included mentioning Vince McMahon, but McMahon hates having his name mentioned in Hall of Fame speeches so he had a go at Evans, which led to the walkout.

Anyway, Fightful Select is reporting that Evans will be on IMPACT TV as part of a segment involving former Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo and Kimber Lee.

Evans will be representing Purrazzo against IMPACT executive Scott D’Amore, making legal threats against him.

The report adds that Evans has been a major player in IMPACT’s creative team since departing WWE.

Purrazzo dropped the Knockouts Championship to Su Yung this past Saturday at Bound For Glory. Purrazzo’s opponent was actually supposed to be Kylie Rae who didn’t attend the show for reasons unknown.
