Four WWE Championship Matches Official For NXT Halloween Havoc WWE

Four championship matches have been announced for WWE NXT Halloween Havoc.

With the dust still settling on NXT vs. TNA Showdown, WWE have wasted no time in booking several big matches for NXT’s next Premium Live Event: Halloween Havoc on Saturday, October 25.

In the opening segment of the October 14 episode of NXT, Ricky Saints offered to put his NXT Championship on the line against Trick Williams at the upcoming PLE, in an attempt to get some payback on Trick for turning his back on Team NXT at Showdown.

While Trick initially said he’d take the opportunity on his own time, the former TNA World Champion then attacked Saints later in the night in the backstage area, leading to NXT General Manager Ava to book a contract signing for their Halloween Havoc title match on next week’s NXT.

Elsewhere on the show, new NXT Tag Team Champions The Hardy Boyz announced that they’d be defending their titles against the former champions Darkstate at Halloween Havoc.

Matt and Jeff were later jumped by the group later in the night backstage, with Saquon Shugars stating that “nobody was safe” until they get back their gold.

In what seems set to be one of Halloween Havoc’s most unique matches on the card, NXT North American Champion Ethan Page will defend his gold against AAA Latin American Champion El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. in a ‘Day of the Dead’ match.

While details on exactly what this will entail are not yet known, Wagner did confirm that the match is “anything goes”, so we can at least expect violence.

Lastly, in the main event of NXT, Tatum Paxley pulled off an upset win in the NXT Women’s Championship number one contender’s battle royal, outlasting fellow member of The Culling Izzi Dame and Jordynne Grace in the final three of the match.

Paxley, who was joined by former tag team partner Lyra Valkyria in the ring for her celebrations, will now challenge Jacy Jayne for her title at Halloween Havoc.
