Four Horsewomen Match ‘Could Happen At Elimination Chamber’

The match that has been reportedly in the works for ages and yet never seems to be happening. The Four Horsewomen of WWE (Bayley, Sasha, Charlotte, Becky) vs The Four Horsewomen of MMA (Ronda, Shayna, Jessamyn, Marina) could now be happening as soon as the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in three weeks.

In a direct conversation with WWE, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter said that they had assured him Ronda Rousey will be having a match at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, which asks the question…who with?

She’s already beaten Natalya, Nia, Sasha, Bayley and Alexa Bliss, and with Ember Moon sidelined with an injury, it’s hard to think who else it could be. Ruby Riott is the only other person that would make any level of sense, but between now and ‘Mania, Ronda isn’t dropping the title.

Therefore, Dave is speculating that the four horsewomen match could be a logical solution. You may have noticed recently that a lot of the eight horsewomen (or centaurs) have been doing the “four” symbol with their hands when they square up to each other, so could this be a subtle hint at what is to come?

Of course, this would involved calling up Baszler, Duke and Shafir from NXT, but if it’s just a one off there’s no reason why they wouldn’t do that.

The women involved are apparently very keen on doing the match, and Meltzer says it’s a matter of convincing Vince McMahon to do the match more than anything.

The main issue is time. There are just two episodes of Raw between now and the pay-per-view, so unless they also build it on SmackDown, it’s going to feel very rushed.

Ronda’s next opponent(s) will surely become clear on next week’s Raw, but with just two weeks of build possible, maybe it’s too late.

If you ask me, they may just chicken out and do a tag match with no titles on the line to have Ronda on the PPV but not doing anything important. Ronda and Natalya vs Riott Squad, anyone?
