Four Huge Title Matches Announced For NJPW Tour

New Japan Pro Wrestling has revealed the cards for their upcoming tour and oh man, are there some saucy matches.

Four championship matches are currently set to take place. The most newsworthy among them is the NEVER Openweight Championship match. Tomohiro Ishii will challenge for the title in Shingo Takagi’s first defense. The two had a match of the year caliber encounter in last year’s G1 Climax, a match that was won by Takagi.

Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kota Ibushi are finally receiving their IWGP Tag Team Championship Match as well. They formed their team at New Year Dash and will now face the Guerrillas of Destiny. GoD recently won the titles for the sixth time at the New Beginning in USA.

The junior tag titles and NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team titles will also be defended on these shows. SHO and YOH will take on their mentor Rocky Romero and Ryusuke Taguchi. The NEVER titles will then be defended by EVIL, Takagi, and BUSHI as they face the former champions Togi Makabe, Toru Yano and Taguchi.
