Last night was a pretty big night for AEW Dynamite. The show featured an AEW World Championship Empty Arena No Holds Barred Match as Jon Moxley defended his title against Jake Hager. It also saw Lance Archer move on to the semi-finals of the TNT Championship tournament.
Now, we can look ahead to next week. As of now, three and a half matches have been announced for next week’s show.
First, we will have the final two TNT Championship tournament quarter-final matches. Kip Sabian vs. Dustin Rhodes has barely been built up at all in recent weeks and would appear to be the least important of the quarter-final matches. Darby Allin vs. Sammy Guevara, on the other hand, is much more important.
Allin decked Cody after their tag team match two weeks ago and it seems they are destined to meet in the semi-finals. First, Allin must defeat Guevara. Allin and Guevara clashed at Revolution with Allin coming out on top, but now they will have to do it one more time.
Orange Cassidy will be making his Dynamite singles debut when he faces Jimmy Havoc. This will be his second singles match after facing PAC at Revolution, but it has not been announced whether he will try or not. Havoc hit Cassidy with a fisherman’s DDT this week so Cassidy will be out for revenge.
Finally, Wardlow will be returning to the ring. His opponent has not been announced yet they will need a lot of help.
