It’s being reported that FOX, the home of WWE SmackDown, has been pushing for the company to return to being in front of live crowds.
As reported by WrestleVotes, FOX wants WWE to be on the same level as MLB, the NBA and others, so have been seeking updates on the timeframe for crowds returning over the past few weeks.
Reports have suggested WWE is looking to return to the road in July in time for the Money in the Bank pay-per-view.
This comes after All Elite Wrestling (AEW) also announced it will be returning to touring in July.
WWE shows have been in the ThunderDome with a virtual crowd at various locations since last August, prior to which shows were held at the WWE Performance Center after the start of the pandemic.
