Frankie Kazarian Emotionally Reacts To Christopher Daniels AEW Retirement Announcement AEW

The January 22 episode of AEW Dynamite saw Christopher Daniels effectively retire from wrestling and Frankie Kazarian has now responded.

Daniels came to the ring on last night’s AEW Dynamite wearing a neckbrace and revealed that doctors have advised him he will never wrestle again.

He would go on to say that Hangman Adam Page had won the final match in Daniels’ career, hoping it made him happy given that a Buckshot had ended his time as a wrestler.

Having shared the ring crossed the decades from 2001, Kazarian shared an emotional message about the end of his AEW tag team partner’s career, tweeting:

“There’s no way to articulate what @facdaniels means to me.

“As an opponent, a tag team partner, or most importantly as a best friend and brother.

“His contributions to our sport will never be realized.

“I love you CD. Bad Influence, The Addiction or SCU. I loved every single minute.”

Kazarian and Daniels first teamed together in TNA Wrestling as part of Fortune in 2011 and would go on to become Bad Influence before the pair departed in 2014.

They’d also take the name The Addiction, competing in the New Japan Pro-Wrestling World Tag Team League in 2015, along with Ring of Honor.

2017 would see the pair rebrand as SoCal Uncensored, continuing their work in ROH and debuting for AEW in January 2019.

Kazarian would be granted his release by AEW in November 2022, returning to TNA Wrestling while Daniels would continue to serve as an in-ring talent and Head of Talent Relations.

During their time together in TNA Wrestling, the pair were two-time World Tag Team Champions.
