A big free agent made their AEW Dynamite debut on tonight’s Maximum Carnage episode of the show in Cincinnati.
Tonight’s Maximum Carnage show saw the first-ever Women’s Casino Gauntlet match take place, with the winner set to face Mariah May for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Grand Slam Australia.
The match began with Kris Statlander, who earned the number one entry on last week’s show, as well as Jamie Hayter, before free agent Megan Bayne made a surprise appearance at number three.
It had been reported prior to the show that Megan had been discussed in the company recently, with Fightful potentially hearing that she was present backstage at the show, which turned out to be the case.
Megan’s contract status with AEW has been a confusing one for a long time, with her initially announced as signed to the company in November 2023, but when plans were being made for her in the Summer of 2024, it was noted she was no longer under contract to the company.
Megan regularly featured on AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation, last wrestling for AEW in a dark match in June 2023.
