Free Agent Signing Makes AEW Debut AEW

A big free agent signing has made their AEW debut on tonight’s episode of Dynamite after recently confirming their signing.

Former TNA X-Division Champion Speedball Mike Bailey left the company earlier this year, with it being reported that he was expected to sign with AEW.

Speedball’s signing was confirmed on an episode of Collision last month, when a hype video aired for his arrival in the company, though it wasn’t announced when.

Last night, Tony Khan announced a new ‘International Championship Eliminator’ Tournament, with the winner set to face Kenny Omega for the International Championship at Dynasty.

The tournament featured a Wildcard entrant, who would be facing off with the Beast Mortos on tonight’s episode of Dynamite, which led to speculation that Speedball could arrive in AEW on tonight’s show.

The Wildcard entrant in the tournament was indeed Speedball, with him defeating Mortos to earn a spot in next week’s four-way final.

Speedball will face off against the winners of the other matches, which will pit Orange Cassidy against CMLL’s Hechicero, Ricochet against Katsuyori Shibata and Mark Briscoe against Mark Davis.
