Major Free Agent Wants To Wrestle In WWE Royal Rumble

Following a 2022 that saw numerous ex-stars make their return to the company, another former WWE star has revealed her aspirations of also making a WWE comeback at some point in the future.

The former IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI, who has very recently confirmed her free agent status, has recently spoken to Steve Fall of Wrestlingnews.co and discussed a move back the States and WWE specifically.

Speaking of her WWE wishlist, KAIRI stated through a translator that the Royal Rumble was her favorite event with competing in the match once again being a goal of hers.

KAIRI stated:

“Even now, the WWE Universe, they love KAIRI. Even the wrestlers are like, ‘Oh you’re coming to Royal Rumble this year, right? You’re coming, right?’ It’s her favorite PPV of the whole year. She definitely wants to one day wrestle in the Royal Rumble.”

As for whether a WWE comeback was likely, KAIRI would state that the former CEO Vince McMahon himself left the door open ahead of her WWE exit in 2020.

“Vince said the door is always open, you’re always welcome to come back. If she comes back one day, she would love to team up with Asuka again, team up with IYO Sky, or maybe even go against IYO Sky. Who knows?”

While tying up with fellow Japanese stars in WWE is clearly an ambition of KAIRI’s she would also discuss that she feels more could have been achieved, citing other major aspirations that she failed to achieve as goals for the future.

“It’s a little bit of her both. She didn’t (completely) accomplish what she wanted to do because she was in a WrestleMania title match, but on the other hand, she didn’t get a singles women’s belt, so that’s still maybe one thing she would like to get next time.”

While KAIRI is clearly aiming for a WWE return in the future, she may have the other major American wrestling company in her sights also, with KAIRI recently stating she wanted to face the AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter.
