Before their big match on ROH pay-per-view, FTR took to the AEW Dynamite ring to share an emotional story.
Ahead of their major match at Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor against the Briscoes, FTR took to the AEW Dynamite ring to be interviewed by Tony Schiavone and to tell an inspiring story.
While Cash Wheeler kicked off the chat, visibly pleased with warm reception from the crowd, he gave the Hotlanta fans another chance to chant ‘FTR!’ when he mentioned he still wasn’t used to the welcome.
Next Dax Harwood was on the mic, telling a story about a young five year old girl who through routine check up was discovered to have a “hole in her heart.” The doctors informed the child and her parents that if the young girl “worked really hard” she could overcome the diagnosis, whereas the alternative would be a risky, open heart surgery.
Dax Harwood turned the promo to a poignant tone when he revealed that the child had overcome the issue, it was his daughter who is now eight years old and this Saturday at Ring of Honor, Death Before Dishonor, Dax was going to “fight like an eight year old girl,” and beat the Briscoes!
Elsewhere on the show, House of Black kicked off the Shark Week themed edition standing tall with some intriguing events, Swerve in our Glory hosted a Championship Celebration and a former NXT 2.0 star made their debut and got a title shot.
