FTR Reflect On The ROH Supercard Of Honor Match Against The Briscoes AEW

FTR is reflecting on a major recent match and how the story they were able to tell will continue to live in infamy.

A tag-team poised to take over All Elite Wrestling is FTR, Dax Harwood ad Cash Wheeler and the notable Bret Hart fans sat down to discuss what recent career moment was their Bret vs. Austin match.

According to FTR, their recent match with The Briscoes at Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor pay-per-view may have very well been their “Bret vs. Austin” career moment.

Speaking to Rasslin’ , Dax Harwood said:

“I expected it to be a generational match, maybe that’s even taking it a bit too far. I expected it to be a knock-down, drag-down, hell of a match. But when it was over and I got to the back and I got to process everything and think about it, I told [Wheeler], I said, ‘That was our Bret/Austin. I don’t know if we’ll ever get better than that and if we don’t, I’ll be okay’.”

Bret Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin famously met at WrestleMania 13 where they had a famously exceptional match and a star-making one for Austin.

Cash Wheeler went on to elaborate his feelings on the high-intensity match-up with the Briscoes, saying:

“I knew that it would be physical. I knew that it was something that we had ideas for, but we didn’t have ideas for if that makes any sense. Like we didn’t have spots and all these different things we wanted to do. I just knew the story like, like [Harwood] said, like the story we wanted to tell with these guys and make it all make sense.”

FTR had recently begun appearing with CM Punk on AEW television, an on-screen partnership which sadly may not end up taking over the Summer of 2022 as previously thought with CM Punk announcing his injury on last night’s episode of AEW Rampage.
