FTR Win AAA Tag Team Championship From Lucha Brothers

In a rather shocking turn of events, FTR won the AAA Tag Team Championship on the October 16 AEW Dynamite.

The match was promoted to be the Lucha Brothers defending against a mystery masked tag team who are close friends of Andrade El Idolo.

FTR made their entrance in fake luchador masks and outfits, with the name las Super Ranas, which translates to the Super Frogs.

Tully Blanchard came out to cause the distraction, which allowed Harwood to use a title belt as a weapon and follow up with the win.

Pinnacle leader MJF met FTR and Andrade backstage afterwards and celebrated with them, and Andrade asked him if he wanted a cheque or cash. Andrade paid up, and that was that!

Considering how FTR’s philosophy and approach to wrestling contradicts that of lucha libre, it certainly makes you wonder how they’ll be utilised as champs.
