Future Plans For WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles Revealed

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bayley and Sasha Banks will defend their newly acquired Women’s Tag Team Titles against Nia Jax and Tamina at Fastlane.

Although the match is not yet official it was set up on Monday’s episode of Raw when Nia and Tamina interrupted the new champions’ celebration promo. Meltzer says the match is planned for Fastlane and is basically a lock.

There were further developments last night at the NXT television tapings at Full Sail University when Sasha and Bayley made a surprise appearance to a hero’s welcome and declared that the belts would be defended not just on Raw and SmackDown but on NXT too.

Meltzer noted that there was at least talk of having Bayley and Sasha defend the titles at WrestleMania in a four way match featuring teams from all three brands (Raw, SmackDown and NXT) but was quick to point out that this was “not close to official” and is currently not set for the show.
