Gage Goldberg, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg, has addressed potentially pursuing a career in pro wrestling in the future.
At WWE Bad Blood in October, Bill Goldberg made his first appearance for the company since February 2022.
After being shown in the crowd at the event, he was called out by GUNTHER, which led to a face-to-face between The Ring General and the former two-time WWE Universal Champion.
Seated alongside Bill Goldberg was his son Gage, someone who has been a constant presence throughout the former WCW star’s career resurgence in the last decade.
The 18-year-old is currently a freshman at the University of Colorado Boulder, playing linebacker for the Colorado Buffaloes.
Although Gage is pursuing football, he was asked in a recent interview with Sportskeeda’s Bill Apter whether he had considered following his father’s footsteps into the WWE one day.
Gage said:
“I mean yes and no for sure. Wrestling would be cool and being amped up and everything and having all the adrenaline, but then also I know my place right now is with football.
“So, I’m gonna live this out, I’ll see where that takes me. If it doesn’t work out, could be wrestling I don’t know. It’s a back-up plan.”
