Gallus Tag Team To Undergo Name Change In NXT 2.0?

Gallus Tag Team To Undergo Name Change In NXT 2.0? WWE

On this week’s NXT Heatwave special episode of NXT 2.0, several stars from NXT UK made their way over to the United States, seemingly setting up matches for the upcoming Worlds Collide event.

One of the acts who made the jump over to NXT 2.0 was the trio of Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey and Wolfgang, collectively known as Gallus, who attacked the Diamond Mine on the show.

Later in the night, it was announced that Wolfgang and Mark Coffey will challenge Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen for the NXT UK Tag Team Championship on next week’s show.

WWE posted the preview for the show on WWE.com today, and the trio were referred to as ‘The Gallus Boys’ rather than simply Gallus.

While the trio have always referred to themselves as ‘the Gallus boys’ with their ‘Gallus boys on top’ catchphrase, the wording and use of the name instead of simply Gallus seems to imply that the stable will be changing names going forward.

Whether or not the three stars individually will undergo name changes is not known, though interestingly WWE never referred to any of the members by name in the preview.

Per WWE.com:

The Gallus Boys look to bring home the NXT UK Tag Team Titles

The longest-reigning NXT UK Tag Team Champions have stormed onto NXT 2.0, and they want their titles back.

During an explosive NXT Heatwave, The Gallus Boys established dominance by laying waste to Diamond Mine before turning their attention to Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen.

The NXT UK Tag Team Champions are always ready for a fight, as evidenced by the brawl that nearly broke out when Gallus stepped to Briggs & Jensen, but can they topple the faction that held the titles for nearly 500 days?

Tune in Tuesday night to NXT 2.0 at 8/7 C on USA to find out!
