Former WWE Star Says He Still Has A Good Relationship With Edge & AEW Star WWE

A former WWE star says he still has a good relationship with Edge and an AEW star.

During the WWE’s Attitude Era, one of the most popular and memorable factions were The Brood. The group of Gangrel, Edge and Christian were known for their mysterious persona and iconic entrance.

Speaking with Steve Fall on Ten Count, Gangrel discussed his current relationship with Edge and Christian. On if the rumors of The Brood reunion at WrestleMania 39 were true, he said:

“I believe it may have been pitched, but I never heard about it. I called Edge and said ‘Hey, where’d all these rumors start?’ And he goes ‘Ah, they think they know everything.’”

On staying in contact with Edge, but not being able to talk to Christian that much, Gangrel said:

“Once a month or a couple of times, I’ll send Edge a text or something. He answers it right back immediately. Christian, I don’t talk to as frequently, but I was just with him two weekends ago at Squared Circle Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana.”

“We were right next to each other, so we had really good conversations. I think he’s going to come in and possibly do a seminar for CCW in the future.”

“We just have to line it up. So good relationship, I talk more frequently with Edge, but it’s a good relationship with each guy.”

Edge is currently still working with WWE, most recently competing in the World Heavyweight Championship Tournament in a triple threat match against AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio on the May 12 episode of SmackDown.

Meanwhile, Christian Cage works for All Elite Wrestling where he is set to challenge Wardlow in a ladder match for the TNT Championship at this Sunday’s AEW Double Or Nothing pay-per-view. For the full lineup for the event, click here.
