Giulia’s WWE Future Following Injury Update

Giulia’s WWE Future Following Injury Update WWE

There has been an update on Giulia’s WWE future following her recent injury and not appearing at NXT Heatwave.

The former World of Stardom Champion signed with WWE over WrestleMania weekend, with her set to appear for both NXT and Rossy Ogawa’s Marigold promotion going forward.

Giulia was originally planned to make her NXT debut at the NXT Heatwave show this weekend, but she will no longer be on the show after suffering a broken wrist during her Marigold debut match.

In an update from Fightful Select (subscription required), sources from both NXT and Marigold have noted that she won’t be present in Toronto for the show and will be on the road with Marigold this weekend.

Fightful had not heard of any plans for a video appearance from Giulia, or any other appearance from her as of today.

However, in speaking with other NXT sources, Fightful had learned that the expectation is that she will feature on the next NXT Premium Live Event, but it is not been confirmed when that may be, though NXT sources believe it will likely take place over SummerSlam weekend in Cleveland.

NXT sources maintain that WWE want Giulia on screen ‘as soon as possible’, but acknowledge that she has Marigold commitments to be completed beforehand.

Giulia is scheduled to face Sareee at Marigold Summer Destiny next weekend, with the expectation being that she will be cleared to compete in time for the match.

Creatively, Fightful was told that ‘everything is on the table’ for how she may debut in NXT following her injury, with a match for the NXT Women’s Championship still expected, but not guaranteed.
