GoFundMe For Family Of Shad Gaspard Already Reaches Goal

Earlier this week, the entire wrestling world was shocked to its core when former WWE star Shad Gaspard tragically passed away after being caught in a riptide. Right before his tragic death, Gaspard instructed lifeguards to save his son before himself, highlight just how much of a wonderful father Gaspard was.

To aid Shad Gaspard’s wife and family during his incredibly difficult time, a GoFundMe page was set up with the goal of raising $100,000. Within just 48 hours, the initial goal has incredibly been met.

While non-wrestlers would of course have been incredibly generous over the last two days in helping Shad’s family, some big donations came in from wrestlers that will undoubtedly be a massive help to the Gaspard family following Shad’s passing.

Ryan Barkan, owner of ProWrestlingTees, was incredibly generous in donating $2,500 to the cause. He was joined by Chris Jericho who donated $5,000, as well as Tony Khan, Cameo and Jas Mathur who all donated $10,000.

While all donations are incredibly appreciated by Gaspard’s family, the biggest came in at a staggering $40,000. The person donated under the name of CTC RIP. As such, many people assume that the person who donated the amazing amount of money is John Cena.

For those that don’t know, while teaming together in WWE, Cena and Cryme Tyme were known as Cryme Tyme Cena or CTC, which would explain the donation. Regardless of if it came from Cena or not, everyone who donated to the Gaspard family during this time has been incredibly generous, and their financial help is uncertainly appreciated.
