Goldberg Looking To Make HISTORY?

As first announced by the HISTORY channel, Bill Goldberg will host the new Forged in Fire: Knife or Death series:

“The nation’s top bladesmiths, martial artists and knife experts slice, stab and chop their way through some of the most daunting obstacle courses ever seen in HISTORY’s new nonfiction competition series “Forged in Fire: Knife or Death” premiering Tuesday, April 17 at 10PM ET/PT. Hosted by WWE Hall Of Famer Bill Goldberg…”

The press release goes on to state that it will be a run of six episodes.

Goldberg will be joined by Special Forces veteran Tu Lam as they introduce competitors to various challenges designed to test various aspects of their blades from durability to the precision of its wielder.

This news comes only a few weeks after the recent announcements that former WWE superstars CM Punk and Wade Barrett will be hosting the Netflix action gameshow Ultimate Beastmaster on behalf of their respective countries for its third season.

As we covered yesterday, Bill Goldberg isn’t the only one looking to expand his post WWE exposure, as Paul Heyman, the man who will induct Goldberg into the WWE Hall of Fame in two weeks, will be looking to produce unscripted content for several different media platform once his WWE contract has expired.

Forged in Fire is considered one of the premier non-fiction shows on HISTORY, so the opportunity to host the show comes as a great opportunity for the former WWE and WCW superstar.

Having played small roles in various films and television shows for the past 10-15 years, it seems that his career in television could be moving in a great direction for Goldberg, so you can expect to see more of him on your screens than ever before. Since his most recent run in WWE throughout 2016 and 2017, he has been in a couple of well known and loved series such as the 80s inspired sitcom ‘The Goldbergs’ (a show not about him, for any who may have guessed otherwise), and CW superhero show ‘The Flash’ – not a bad year for Bill.
