Goldberg Reveals He Has Two More Years On Current WWE Deal

Back in February, in what was an utterly woeful decision, Goldberg defeated The Fiend in Saudi Arabia to capture the Universal Championship for the second time in his career.

Goldberg (53-years-old), then went on to WrestleMania to defend his title against Braun Strowman. He was originally set to face Roman Reigns, but Roman pulled out of the show due to cocnerns related to Coronavirus.

We haven’t seen Goldberg since WrestleMania, and there have been no teases online indicating that we are going to be seeing the former World Heavyweight Champion on our screens in the near future.

Goldberg has worked two matches thus far in 2020, and the former WCW icon revealed during a recent interview with The Pop Culture Show that his current deal sees him working two matches per year.

During the same interview, Goldberg also confirmed that he has two more years left on his current deal with Vince McMahon’s company. Here’s exactly what he had to say on the matter:

“I am contracted with the WWE for the next two years through 2022, ’23. I’ve got two matches per year. I’ve exhausted my limit this year quite early on April the fifth with WrestleMania under these really weird circumstances. But I’ve got a couple other extremely interesting projects right on the cusp, but as you guys know in the entertainment business right now everything’s on hold unless it’s a production of 10 or under pretty much. We got a lot of cool things that people are going to find out about pretty soon. My WWE commitment is still going strong. At 53, I never would’ve imagined especially after making fun of Flair when he was doing it in his early 40s”.

Speaking of Goldberg, it has been revealed by a former WWE name that Tony Khan really wanted to sign Goldberg to AEW, and even had big plans for him. You can read more about that by clicking here.
