WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg has spoken about the possibility of his son Gage getting to the wrestling business himself.
Gage, at 15 years of age, has appeared on WWE TV throughout the last couple of weeks in the build to Goldberg vs Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam.
Many people pointed out that Gage didn’t exactly look out of place and could be easily be seen getting into wrestling himself when the time comes, which is something his father has now addressed.
Speaking on WWE’s The Bump this past week, Goldberg said:
“I don’t want to choose his path. The kid’s 15 years old, and he’s a hell of a baseball player and a hell of a football player. And if one day he wanted to step in the ring, you know, I would support it 100%. But I would also let him know to be prepared to be a target, as he is probably right now. As a father, I would be behind him 100%. Just know, if he did, he would be the biggest and baddest to ever step in the ring, just like his dad.”
A lot of people comically pointed out the similarities between Gage and Taz’s son Hook who has been training to make his in-ring debut in AEW.
There’s obviously a few years to go at only 15, but fans’ fantasy booking minds are already thinking up some very intriguing scenarios for Gage when the time comes.
Goldberg has said his family is a big part of his current WWE run as neither his wife nor son got to see him wrestle during the main body of his career.
