This year at WrestleMania 36, WCW icon and WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg was set to defend his Universal Championship against top WWE star Roman Reigns.
However, the match didn’t go ahead as planned. Roman Reigns decided to pull out of the show over Coronavirus fears, and Goldberg was instead defeated by Braun Strowman.
While the pair are no longer feuding on WWE TV, it seems like Goldberg is intent on continuing his beef with Roman Reigns in real-life, calling him “a joke”.
While speaking on the American Monster Productions YouTube channel, Goldberg had some harsh words for the top WWE star who hasn’t appeared on TV in several months:
“Roman… you’re a joke, first of all. Second of all, when he ragged on me about headbutting the doors and stuff, you know… I never really explained my whole thought process on that.
“For you guys to get the character that you got, I had to do certain things. Well, one of them was headbutt the door. Right? And that may, on the outside, look like a stupid move, but as I mentioned, we all weigh the positives and negatives, so it’s very positive to make it as violent as humanly possible, and as real as humanly possible, and all the negative is you lose a little blood and hey, man, you get another concussion and cut a week off your life.”
Let’s be honest, Roman Reigns is right. Headbutting doors and lockers probably isn’t the smartest thing to be doing in 2020, especially considering what we now know about concussions & CTE.
There is no word on if WWE is planning on having Goldberg return to WWE to continue his feud with Roman Reigns when “The Big Dog” also makes a comeback.
