Goldberg WWE Retirement Match Training Update WWE

With a retirement match taking place in 2025, a new training update for the WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg has emerged.

Goldberg has previously revealed that he had assembled his crew as he prepares for his retirement match.

In a recent post on the Black Diamond Martial Arts Instagram account, a “day 2” update was released, as can be seen below.

There were improvements over what was seen on day 1 according to the post, which stated:

“Day 2 in the books. Lots of improvement from day 1.

“Thanks to @relentless_badger_ufc for coming out to help and get some rounds in. Training videos coming soon!

“Thanks @goldberg95 for trusting us with your comeback!”

Helping out with the training was Brendan O’Reilly (relentless_badger_ufc on Instagram), with his bio stating he’s a UFC veteran and 2nd degree BJJ Black Belt.

With Gage Goldberg also among his father’s comeback crew, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion has discussed a potential wrestling future for his son.

While 2025 is the year of the retirement match, Goldberg has previously stated that a date is yet to be set, although it’ll be happening in a WWE ring.

Goldberg has stated that it was Triple H who contacted him with the idea of a retirement match taking place in WWE.

The Hall of Famer last competed at Elimination Chamber in February 2022, losing to the Unidisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

At WWE Bad Blood in October 2024, Goldberg was ringside and found himself on the receiving end of sharp words from GUNTHER.

Goldberg would later share his thoughts on the interaction which took place in his adopted hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.
