Goldberg WWE Retirement Match Location Plans Update

Goldberg WWE Retirement Match Location Plans Update WWE

Goldberg has shared a big clue as to where his WWE retirement match is planned to take place.

Roughly a month after Goldberg made his return to WWE at the company’s Bad Blood premium live event in October 2024, he confirmed during an appearance on ESPN that he would be stepping into the ring one last time in 2025.

While details have been few and far between as to when the match would take place – as well as who his opponent will be – the Hall of Famer has been detailing his preparations for what will be his first bout since February 2022.

After Goldberg revealed that he was now injury free after dealing with shoulder issues, he has now shared an update on the location of his final WWE match.

Speaking to MySA, Goldberg said:

“It’s going to be in the South, this gives me the opportunity to put a stamp on my career in front of the people I care the most about.”

While the former two-time former Universal Champion confirmed that the match would be taking place in 2025, he didn’t provide any further details regarding his potential opponent.

The MySA article also noted that Goldberg has some creative control in regards to the rollout of the date’s announcement:

The 58-year-old still won’t say when the match will take place but said he’s been approved for some creative control of the rollout plans for the date’s announcement and even dropped a major hint about where the final fight will take place.

Following Goldberg’s comments, Fightful Select provided further details as to where exactly in “the south” Goldberg’s match may be planned for.

Sources told Fightful Select that tentative plans are for the match to take place in Atlanta, GA, the city he has long called home and where he previously played college and professional football.

We will provide further updates on WWE’s plans for Goldberg’s final match as more news becomes available.
