WWE Star Addresses Goldberg Criticizing Retirement Match

A notable WWE name has addresses Goldberg’s recent comments about his retirement match with the company.

The Hall of Famer wrestled his last match at the July 12 Saturday Night’s Main Event special, losing to GUNTHER in their World Heavyweight Championship match.

Goldberg criticised his final WWE appearance in the following weeks, noting that he was “pissed off” about the way things played out, specifically highlighting how his retirement speech was cut off after 30 seconds, among other issues he had.

Speaking on a new edition of the Ariel Helwani Show, Paul Heyman addressed Goldberg’s comments, noting:

“It’s Bill. Bill Goldberg had very, very high expectations for WWE. In Bill Goldberg’s mind, they weren’t met.

“I’m not gonna sit here and tell you Bill Goldberg was wrong. I’m not going to tell you WWE was wrong. I’m going to tell you this is how Goldberg felt and he’s not shy in letting people know how he feels.

“I’m not surprised. It’s Bill. This is how he feels, and he’s going to let you know about it.”

Also during this interview, Paul Heyman shared his honest thoughts on WWE Unreal, now that the documentary series is available on Netflix.
