A major update on WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg’s return to WWE television ahead of his planned retirement match.
It was reported earlier this year that Hall of Famer Goldberg was set to make his return to WWE television ahead of a planned retirement match.
Goldberg recently noted that he had been training ahead of his retirement match, with the Saturday Night’s Main Event show in Atlanta, Georgia on July 12 looking like the likely date of his last match.
In an update from PWInsider Elite (subscription required), Goldberg is set to make his return to WWE television on next week’s WWE Raw show in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Goldberg is set to regularly appear on the show heading into WWE’s Atlanta weekend, adding credence to the idea that Goldberg’s final match will take place on Saturday Night’s Main Event, though that is not 100% confirmed.
Goldberg last appeared at WWE Bad Blood in Atlanta back in October, where he got in the face of GUNTHER, who won back his World Heavyweight Championship from Jey Uso on this week’s episode of WWE Raw.
PWInsider also confirms that there was at least a pitch made for Goldberg to appear on this past week’s episode of Raw, though the idea was later discarded.
Goldberg has been in intense training in Texas ahead of his retirement match, with him noting that he has dealt with several injuries over the course of his training.
