As of last night, Goldust changed his handle on Twitter to simply @dustinrhodes (his real kayfabe name). Before doing so, however, he made a short and intelligent announcement to state that this is not a power move and to not speculate as he is not distancing himself away from WWE. He just wants something different.
PSA- I will be changing my name on Twitter. Don’t speculate, just want it different. Thanks-Dustin Rhodes

WWE STAR TO AEW CONFIRMED!
Of course, whenever stars do anything on their social media accounts such as change their names or their bios, fans everywhere begin to blow a gasket but Rhodes has assured us that there is no need. What a good honest chap.
New Twitter name is @DustinRhodes. Thanks

Once that was done, Instagram was next. In for a penny, in for a pound, and all that.
Now that my Twitter has changed, my IG has as well. Go on over and check it out if you like. Thanks for y’alls support as always. It’s DustinRhodesTX on IG –https://t.co/i1Hp7OHOm3

With this news, Rhodes took it upon himself to give some advice for those not deterred by his initial PSA:

Rhodes underwent surgery on both his knees in July 2018 and is yet to return to TV. With his real-life brother Cody Rhodes now an Executive Vice-President of fledgling promotion AEW, it will be interesting to see where the chips will fall when he is back to 100 percent. That’s not speculation, Dustin, I swear, I’m just curious!
