After a lengthy absence from WWE TV, it has been revealed that Goldust will be leaving the promotion as his contract recently expired, reports Pro Wrestling Sheet.
Goldust is currently sitting out his 90-day non-compete clause in order to become free agent, and the report suggests that will be at some point in May.
Goldust’s real life brother Cody is yet to have an opponent announced for AEW Double or Nothing on May 25, but there was a big tease on the latest Road to Double or Nothing video that it could be the ‘Bizarre One’:
Cody has also previously stated that his match is “personal” between he and his opponent, which will only further catalyse the speculation that Goldie will in fact be his opponent, but we shall see, as obviously this is all still pure speculation.
WWE is yet to publicly announce the release.
